Vizag to host 3-day food festival from September 5: All you need to know

Visakhapatnam is all set to turn into a food lover’s paradise as the city gears up for a three-day Vizag Food Festival, scheduled from September 5 to 7, 2025, at the MGM Grounds and The Park Hotel, Beach Road. The event will run daily from 6 PM to 10 PM with free entry for all visitors.

What to Expect at Vizag Food Festival 2025

The festival promises a rich spread of flavours, offering something for everyone:

• 30+ food stalls serving authentic North Andhra delicacies, popular Indian dishes, and global cuisines
• Special sections for organic and heritage foods
• Chef contests, organised by Sun School, to showcase culinary talent
• Evening cultural performances to keep the atmosphere festive

Organisers and Budget

The event is being organised by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department, in collaboration with the Hotels and Restaurants Association of Andhra Pradesh and the Event Managers’ Association. District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad announced that a budget of Rs 15 lakh has been allocated for the festival, with Rs 5 lakh coming from the Tourism Department.

Visitor Footfall and Purpose

Authorities expect a daily footfall of 15,000–20,000 visitors. Nominal charges will apply for food stalls, but entry to the event remains completely free. Beyond just a food celebration, the festival aims to boost Vizag’s cultural and tourism appeal, positioning the city as a vibrant destination for both locals and tourists.
