Zoho has released its annual Notebook Recap for 2025, detailing a series of updates that expand the capabilities of its note-taking platform across devices. From AI-powered transcription and meeting summaries to improved organization, multilingual support, and meaningful integrations, the latest recap shows how Notebook evolved through the year to function as a more intelligent workspace for students, professionals, and creators.
AI features and automationNotebook AI remained the central focus in 2025. Zoho expanded its AI Meeting Notes feature, enabling the platform to listen, record, and organize conversations automatically. This applies to calls, lectures, and brainstorming sessions, where Notebook AI generates clean, structured transcripts without user intervention. AI Mind Map support also became available across devices, letting users convert long notes into visual diagrams instantly.
The year also marked the introduction of AI Transcription in seven languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, and Russian. This addition broadens accessibility for users who rely on multi-language documentation and research.
Student-focused updatesIn early November, Zoho introduced Notebook AI for Students, offering writing assistance, summarization, transcription, and study tools at no additional cost. With dedicated monthly AI quotas, the feature is designed to help learners manage classes, lectures, and assignments without relying on external tools. All functions are integrated directly within Notebook, giving students a unified workspace.
Platform improvements and device-specific upgradesNotebook received several platform-wide improvements this year. Custom Sorting allows users to drag and place notes, notebooks, and collections in any order, synchronizing across devices instantly. Multi-select and enhanced tag editing help with bulk organization, reducing repetitive steps when managing large sets of notes.
On iPad, Notebook now features a redesigned multi-pane layout, displaying notes, notebooks, and tools side-by-side to streamline multitasking. On macOS, Noteboards—Notebook’s Kanban-style interface—became available, enabling visual organization and progress tracking.
Integrations and ecosystem growthZoho deepened its ecosystem integrations with Apple devices in 2025. The updated Liquid Glass UI offers a cleaner interface, while Apple Intelligence enhances summaries, tone adjustments, and transcription. Apple Watch and iPad apps also received upgrades, including Journaling Suggestions and visual refinements.
Notebook also strengthened its links with Zoho CRM through a dedicated extension. Users can write notes, attach files, record audio, and sync call recordings directly within CRM records using ZVoice.
Additionally, Notebook expanded language support to 10 Indian languages on iOS and 53 languages on the web app, making the platform more accessible globally.
More upgrades and migrationsZoho introduced tools to help users migrate from OneNote and Pocket, allowing notebooks, articles, and bookmarks to move into Notebook with structure preserved. Search also became faster and more intuitive, showing relevant results and recent activity for easier navigation. The recap concludes with Zoho outlining its goal of making note-taking more personal and meaningful, marking 2025 as another step toward a more unified and intelligent productivity platform.
