Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z TriFold, a new multi-folding smartphone that expands the company’s foldable portfolio and brings a 10-inch display experience to a pocket-sized device. Unveiled in Korea, the Galaxy Z TriFold features a dual-folding design, upgraded hinge engineering, a 200MP primary camera, and a large three-cell battery system. Samsung said the device builds on a decade of research in foldable form factors and aims to offer users more ways to work, create, and consume content on a mobile device.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is Samsung’s first phone that folds twice to transition from a standard smartphone layout to a 10-inch tablet-like viewing area. Samsung has redesigned its foldable architecture with two differently sized hinges in a dual-rail structure to deliver improved stability across all three panels. The device retains a slim profile of 3.9 mm at its thinnest point when unfolded.
The cover screen measures 6.5 inches, while the main display opens into a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits. Samsung has added a reinforced overcoat layer for better resistance across the dual-folding structure.
Features
Samsung has included the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of internal storage. A 5,600mAh three-cell battery is distributed across the three sections of the device, and 45W wired charging is supported.
The camera system is led by a 200MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization and optical-quality 2x zoom enabled by an adaptive pixel sensor. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The cover and main displays each carry a 10MP front camera.
With a 10-inch layout, Samsung has optimized multitasking features, allowing users to run three apps side by side. The device also supports standalone Samsung DeX, enabling up to four workspaces with five apps each and an extended mode when connected to an external monitor. Galaxy AI features such as Photo Assist, generative editing, and visual understanding through Gemini Live are integrated into the device.
Availability
The Galaxy Z TriFold will be available in Korea starting December 12, 2025, followed by launches in the U.S., China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE. Buyers will get a six-month trial of Google AI Pro and a one-time 50% discount on display repair.
