September looks set to be busy for smartphone fans, with Apple, Oppo and Samsung reportedly unveiling new devices within days of each other. Apple has confirmed its autumn keynote for 9 September, Oppo is expected to launch the F31 series soon after, and Samsung may reveal the Galaxy S25 FE.
Apple iPhone 17 line-up
Apple’s “Awe Dropping” keynote at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino is expected to showcase five new iPhone models. The standard iPhone 17 is likely to feature a slimmer aluminium frame and the new A19 Bionic processor, with a larger iPhone 17 Plus offering similar specifications on a bigger screen.
The iPhone 17 Pro could bring a titanium body, the upgraded A19 Pro chip, a triple-lens camera with LiDAR, and storage up to 2TB. The flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max is tipped to offer the largest display, a periscope zoom camera, and the most powerful battery in the series.
Apple may also introduce the iPhone 17 Air, an ultra-thin 5.5mm handset. To achieve the slim design, compromises in battery capacity and camera hardware are expected, while the 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate is likely to remain exclusive to the Pro models.
Oppo F31 series
Oppo is expected to launch the F31 series in India between 12 and 14 September, according to tipster Abhishek Yadav. The line-up could include the Oppo F31 5G with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, the F31 Pro 5G with Dimensity 7300, and the F31 Pro+ 5G running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
The series may offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage, flat displays, and 80W fast charging, following the March launch of the Oppo F29 range.

The phone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2,000 nits peak brightness, powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset.
Camera specifications are reported to include a 50MP main sensor with optical stabilisation, a 12MP ultra-wide, an 8MP 3x telephoto, and a 12MP selfie camera. A 4,900mAh battery supporting 45W wired and 15W wireless charging is expected, with Android 16 and One UI 8 pre-installed.
