Apple iPhone

Apple’s iOS 26 update, released on September 15, brings a small but surprisingly useful feature to your iPhone’s Clock app — the ability to customise your alarm snooze duration.

Until now, snoozing an alarm meant an automatic nine extra minutes of sleep, no matter how tired (or awake) you were. But with iOS 26, Apple finally gives you control. You can now adjust the snooze anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes, letting you fine-tune how much more time you actually need before facing the day.

Here’s how to do it:

  • Open the Clock app.
  • Tap Alarms at the bottom of your screen.
  • Hit the plus (+) button to create a new alarm.
  • Tap Snooze Duration and select your preferred time — between 1 and 15 minutes.
  • Finish setting your alarm and tap the check mark in the top-right corner.

If you want to edit an existing alarm, simply long-press the alarm, choose Snooze Duration, and pick a new time.

This change may seem minor, but it’s one of those subtle quality-of-life tweaks Apple often slips into its yearly updates. Whether you want a quick one-minute buffer before getting up or a luxurious 15-minute nap, the choice is finally yours.

Just be warned — if you keep hitting that snooze button, no amount of Apple Intelligence
