Liquid Glass Clock Slider Arrives on the Lock Screen
Users can now adjust how frosted or clear the Liquid Glass effect appears on the Lock Screen clock. The new opacity slider sits in the Lock Screen customisation menu and expands on the Clear and Tinted options added in iOS 26.1.

Apple Music Gains Offline Lyrics
iOS 26.2 adds the ability to view lyrics without an internet connection. Songs that support lyrics will now show them even when the device is offline, making the feature far more reliable during travel or in areas with poor connectivity.

Apple has revised the Sleep Score categories in iOS 26.2 and watchOS 26.2. Very Low now covers 0 to 40, Low covers 41 to 60, OK covers 61 to 80, High spans 81 to 95 and Very High covers 96 to 100. Apple says scores reflect sleep duration, consistency and how often users wake during the night.

The Reminders app finally gains alarm functionality. When adding a reminder, selecting a time and toggling the Urgent option triggers an audible alert at the scheduled moment, making time sensitive tasks harder to miss.

Screen Flash Support for Notifications
Under Accessibility settings, iPhones will now be able to flash the screen when notifications arrive. Users can choose LED Flash, Screen or Both depending on preference. Previously, only the rear LED flash could be used for alerts.

AirPods Live Translation expands to the EU with iOS 26.2. The feature lets users hear real time translations through their AirPods when someone speaks another language. If the other person is not wearing AirPods, the iPhone can display a live transcription in their language.
