Google’s Gemini Nano Banana AI tool has been a rage on the internet over the last few days because of its incredible image-generating capabilities. Various social media users are generating everything from 4K retro portraits to the viral saree trend with this tool. Now, to make Nano Banana more accessible, Aravind Srinivas, co-founder and CEO of Perplexity, has announced the integration of the image-generation model into its WhatsApp bot, making it more accessible.

How to use Nano Banana on WhatsApp?

Perplexity has announced that its users will be able to use the Nano Banana engine on WhatsApp. The AI startup has brought Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash engine to the Perplexity bot on WhatsApp, as the ‘highest-quality model’ is now offering users an alternative to Meta AI, which already, with the help of AI, provides many features on the messaging platform.

To access Nano Banana on WhatsApp, users need to do the following:

· Start a chat with Perplexity’s bot by saving the number +1 (833) 436-3285
· Add your image and type the desired prompt describing the edit you want.
· Wait for a few seconds, and voila, your AI-generated image will be uploaded.

Perplexity did not confirm whether Nano Banana on WhatsApp is free or not. However, as of now, Google provides limited free access to its AI models with the basic free subscription, with paid tiers offering more extensive usage. We can also expect a similar limit with this bot on WhatsApp.
