Apple has officially expanded its AI-powered Apple Intelligence to users in India, introducing a host of features designed to enhance productivity, creativity, and privacy. With this rollout, Apple Intelligence now supports localised English for India and Singapore, along with several other languages, including French, German, Italian, and more.

Smarter writing, faster replies

With the latest iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 updates, users can now access Writing Tools, enabling them to rewrite, proofread, and summarise text across Mail, Messages, Notes, and third-party apps. Apple Intelligence offers tone adjustments for professional, concise, or friendly writing styles, while the Smart Reply feature suggests quick responses tailored to messages.

AI-powered photos & Visual Intelligence

The Photos app gets a significant AI upgrade with Clean Up, which allows users to remove distracting elements from images. The new Memories feature can now generate customised video montages by understanding user descriptions. Meanwhile, Apple’s Visual Intelligence can identify plants, animals, and landmarks, translate text, and even create calendar events from scanned posters.

Image Playground & Genmoji

The Image Playground feature makes AI-driven image generation effortless, letting users create visuals based on themes, costumes, and accessories. This tool integrates directly into Messages and apps like Freeform and Keynote. Meanwhile, Genmoji takes emoji customisation to the next level, allowing users to generate unique emojis based on text descriptions or even create versions inspired by friends and family.

Smarter Siri with ChatGPT integration

Siri is now more conversational, context-aware, and deeply integrated into Apple’s ecosystem. Users can seamlessly type or speak to Siri and expect a natural, dynamic response. Additionally, Apple has integrated ChatGPT into Siri and Writing Tools, allowing users to tap into OpenAI’s expertise for content generation and problem-solving—without switching apps. Notably, ChatGPT access is optional, and Apple ensures strict privacy controls for users who choose to use it.

Enhanced productivity & privacy

New priority messages in Mail and notification summaries make it easier for users to focus on what matters most. The Notes app gets an AI boost with Image Wand, which transforms rough sketches into refined illustrations. Apple Intelligence runs primarily on-device, ensuring privacy, while Private Cloud Compute extends AI capabilities securely into the cloud when needed.
