ChatGPT’s latest update introduces app integrations, letting users link services like Spotify, Canva, Booking.com, and others directly to their account. This allows ChatGPT to perform tasks such as building playlists, finding hotels, or designing presentations without leaving the chat.
OpenAI has begun rolling out app integrations inside ChatGPT, allowing users to connect popular third-party services directly to the assistant. Once linked, ChatGPT can perform tasks across these apps, from creating playlists to designing visuals or planning trips, making it a more practical personal assistant.
To start using these integrations, log in to ChatGPT and type the name of the app you wish to connect in your prompt. ChatGPT will guide you through signing in and linking your account. Alternatively, you can open Settings → Apps and Connectors, browse the list of available integrations, and connect them all from one place.
Before linking, it’s worth reviewing what data you’re sharing. For example, connecting your Spotify account allows ChatGPT to access your playlists and listening history to recommend new tracks. While this improves personalisation, users concerned about privacy should review permissions carefully. You can also disconnect any app at any time from the Settings menu.
Among the first wave of integrations are the following:
Booking.com: This integration helps travellers find hotels faster. Once your account is linked, you can ask ChatGPT to suggest places to stay based on your travel dates, number of guests, budget, and preferences such as proximity to public transport or free breakfast. When you find a match, you’ll be redirected to Booking.com to finalise the reservation.
Canva: Ideal for quick content creation, Canva integration allows users to generate designs for social media posts, slides, or posters through text prompts. You can specify dimensions, colour themes, and fonts to refine results. Though the AI’s first draft might not be perfect, it’s a useful starting point that can be edited further in Canva.
Coursera: This link makes course discovery simpler. You can ask ChatGPT to find, compare, and summarise online courses from Coursera, sorted by difficulty, cost, and duration. For instance, you could request “a short, intermediate-level Python course” and receive tailored recommendations with brief overviews.
Expedia: ChatGPT can surface flights and hotels directly within chat via Expedia. You can set your budget, travel dates, and accommodation preferences, and once you’ve found suitable options, you can book them through Expedia’s platform.
Figma: This integration is aimed at teams and creators. You can ask ChatGPT to generate diagrams, flowcharts, or roadmaps for your project. It can also help structure deliverables and timelines, making it easier to visualise workflows.
Spotify: Linking Spotify allows ChatGPT to create playlists or recommend artists, podcasts, and audiobooks based on your mood or listening habits. You can even ask it to curate playlists featuring specific genres or bands, and it can modify your library by adding or removing tracks.
Zillow: For those house-hunting, Zillow integration streamlines the process. You can describe the type of property you’re looking for, such as “a two-bedroom apartment under $600,000 near downtown Seattle”, and ChatGPT will refine the listings accordingly.
OpenAI has also confirmed that more partners are on the way, including DoorDash, OpenTable, Target, Uber, and Walmart, expected later this year. For now, these integrations are only available in the U.S. and Canada, with launches in Europe and the U.K. planned for a later date.
