At 9 pm, the level was recorded at 205.33 metres. The river, which had risen to this season’s peak of 207.48 metres on Thursday, has been gradually falling since then.
“The reason for the increase in level is mostly due to the high volumes of water released from the Wazirabad and Hathnikund barrage every hour,” an official from the central flood room said.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi continued to remain in the 'very poor' category on November 06. The AQI of Delhi was recorded at 358 at 8 am on November 06, according to the Central Pollution Control Board. A thick layer of smog engulfed the area around India Gate as the air quality continues to worsen in the national capital. The toxic foam was seen floating across the section of the Yamuna River in Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj area.
The government is concerned about the sudden rise in pollution level in Yamuna and has put in "urgent measures" to control the situation, ruling AAP said in a statement.

The water level was recorded at 205.34 metres at the Old Railway Bridge at 11 am. It was 205.22 metres at 8:30 am, 205.10 metres at 6 am and 205.17 at 7 am, an official said, adding it is likely to rise further.
The National Green Tribunal had in January accepted recommendations of a two-member expert panel which had suggested directing the Delhi government to issue orders "prohibiting sale, storage and transportation and marketing of detergents which do not conform to the revised BIS standards".
