DRDO Internship 2025 Application Begins at drdo.gov.in, apply online by July 20

The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has opened applications for its six-month paid internship at the Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL) in Visakhapatnam. Final-year B.E./B.Tech students and second-year M.Sc students in select disciplines can apply for this opportunity by 20 July 2025 (5:00 PM).

The internship begins on 1 August 2025, and selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000, paid in two parts. On successful completion of the internship and project work, participants will receive a completion certificate from DRDO.

Who Can Apply

The internship is open to students who meet both academic and institutional criteria:

• Final-year B.E./B.Tech students with a minimum CGPA of 7.5
• Second-year M.Sc students in Physics or Chemistry with at least 75% marks in their first year
• Students must be enrolled in a full-time course at an AICTE or UGC-recognised institution
• The upper age limit is 25 years as of 20 July 2025

The internship will be held at NSTL, Visakhapatnam, a DRDO research lab focused on naval technologies. It will run for a total of six months, with interns expected to complete assigned project work and comply with lab policies throughout the duration.

The stipend of Rs. 5,000 per month will be released in two instalments. A certificate will be awarded only after full-term completion and satisfactory project evaluation.

2. Fill out the form and prepare all necessary documents
3. Send the completed form to hrd-nstl@gov.in before the deadline on 20 July 2025, 5:00 PM
4. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Selection will be strictly merit-based. Shortlisted students may be called for an online or offline interview, depending on the volume of applications. Those selected will receive further communication by email only.

Before joining, selected interns must provide:

• Police verification
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their college
• Any additional documents as specified by NSTL
