Janhvi Kapoor impressed audiences with her committed portrayal of a cricketer in "Mr. & Mrs. Mahi," in her latest project released on May 31. The film also benefitted from her strong on-screen chemistry with Rajkummar Rao. The sports drama garnered enough appreciation and also did good numbers at the box office.

However, several upcoming projects Janhvi was attached to have been shelved. Let's take a look at the list of films shelved that the Dhadak actress was a part of.

Karan Johar's 2018 casting announcement for "Takht" had the Bollywood fans excited. The all-star ensemble featuring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar promised an epic spectacle. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced a delay in production, pushing back the film's shooting schedule. However, even after three years, there is still not update if the film will be made or not.

Karan Johar's 2019 announcement of "Dostana 2" starring Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor, and newcomer Lakshya generated significant buzz. Filming commenced before the COVID-19 pandemic, but the lockdown forced a halt. Later reports emerged of Kartik Aaryan's departure due to creative differences, sparking rumours of a rift with Johar. Ultimately, the project was shelved indefinitely.

Disappointing news emerged this week regarding Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's pan-Indian epic, "Karna." The high-budget film (reportedly ₹350 crore) starring Suriya as Karna and Janhvi Kapoor as Draupadi has reportedly been shelved.

Tiger Shroff's fans eagerly anticipated the Rambo remake. However, recent reports suggest the project has been shelved, possibly due to Shroff's string of box office flops, including Heropanti 2 (2022), Ganapath (2023), and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
