Addressing the buzz for the first time, Priyanka offered a subtle yet telling response in an interview with IANS. Without naming Ankit directly, she shared, “I believe it is always good to evolve—changes are always good. One has to move forward in order to evolve. So, definitely, it is a good thing to evolve, whether it is in a relationship or fashion.”
Fuel was added to the fire when Ankit Gupta stepped away from Tere Ho Jaayein Hum, a show that was initially set to star both actors in lead roles. Citing a need for personal space and time off, Ankit said, “I don’t think I would be able to commit to that project right now. Maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge myself.” While he didn’t comment directly on the speculated breakup, the timing of his exit only deepened fan curiosity.
Sources close to the production suggest that producers Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta are currently seeking a new male lead opposite Priyanka, although no official replacement has been announced yet.
