CLAT 2025 EXAM DAY GUIDELINES


The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released detailed guidelines for candidates appearing for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. Aspirants can find the official instructions on the Consortium’s website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

CLAT 2025 Exam Date and Time

CLAT 2025 is scheduled for Sunday, December 1, 2024, and will be conducted in a single session from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The guidelines emphasize strict adherence to exam day protocols to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for candidates.

CLAT 2025 Exam Day Instructions

Entry and Seating: Candidates are allowed to enter the exam center from 1:00 PM and must be seated at their designated places by 1:30 PM. Exiting the examination hall before the conclusion of the test at 4:00 PM is strictly prohibited.

Admit Card and ID Verification: Carrying a valid Admit Card and a government-issued ID proof is mandatory. Those with disabilities must also bring their disability certificate, if applicable.

Permitted Items Inside the Exam Hall

Candidates are allowed to bring the following:

  • Black or blue ballpoint pen
  • Transparent water bottle
  • Analogue watch
  • Admit card and government-issued ID proof

Question Booklet Verification

Each Question Booklet (QB) will feature the candidate's photograph, name, and admit card number. Candidates must verify these details upon receiving the booklet. Any discrepancies should be immediately reported to the invigilator.

OMR Response Sheet Guidelines

Answers must be marked exclusively on the provided OMR sheet. The original OMR sheet must be submitted to the invigilator post-exam, while candidates retain their copy for records. Candidates are required to sign the attendance sheet, noting their QB and OMR numbers.

Post-Exam Instructions

After the test, candidates should retain the following for future reference:

  • Signed admit card
  • Question booklet and their copy of the OMR sheet
