DDA housing scheme 2023: Registration starts for EWS, LIG flats, and penthouses from November 30

DDA housing scheme 2023: Under the DDA festival housing scheme, the allotment for the EWS and LIG flats will be on a first-come-first-served basis while the luxury flats will be allotted through an e-auction.

The registration for the Delhi Development Authority’s 27,000 flats in Dwarka, Loknayakpuram, and Narela under its ‘Special Festival Housing Scheme’ began on November 24. Applications for its duplex penthouses and luxury flats are expected to start from November 30, officials aware of the matter said.

The housing scheme offers 32,000 flats including penthouses and luxury apartments.

According to officials, the DDA has decided to conduct registrations for the housing scheme in two phases – in phase one, registration for over 27,000 EWS (economic weaker section) and LIG (lower income group) flats started from November 24, while in phase two, the registration for penthouses, luxury apartments, and MIG (middle income group) flats is likely to begin from November 30.

Officials said the EWS and LIG flats will be allotted on ‘first-come-first-served’ basis while luxury apartments, penthouses and MIG flats will be allotted through e-auction.

“The registration of luxury apartments and the penthouses will start after our sample flats are ready so that the buyers can have a better experience while visiting the property. We are likely to open the registrations for the luxury segment and the 2BHK mid-segment from November 30. All the luxury apartments including penthouses are located in Dwarka sector 19B overlooking a golf course,” a DDA official told Moneycontrol.

The prices of EWS flats will start from Rs 11.5 lakh while LIG (low-income group) flats will be priced at Rs 23 lakh. The reserve prices of penthouses and SHIG (super high-income group) luxury flats will start from Rs 5 crore and Rs 2.5 crore, respectively. The HIG (high-income group) apartments will be priced at about Rs 1.4 crore. The reserve prices of MIG (middle-income group) flats will start from around Rs 1 crore.

The official said that applications for the EWS and LIG as well as the luxury segment will be accepted only through the online mode via DDA website www.dda.gov.in  The allotment and possession of flats will also be done online. To register for the scheme click here

The registrations will be open 4 pm onwards on November 24 and then interested applicants can visit the official DDA website and log in using their PAN and other details to apply for the scheme.

In July 2023, the authority had launched a housing scheme, offering 5,623 flats. Prior to that, in 2021, it had offered 18,000 flats in different categories.

The official said that the DDA will also issue online system-generated demand letters. He said people can apply for the scheme and buy a DDA flat even if they already own a house in Delhi.
