Negotiations with Apple are on; Apple is welcome in India: Ravi Shankar Prasad

In an exclusive chat with CNBC-TV18's Malvika Jain, Communications & IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad reiterated that investing in India will be a big gain for Apple. Malvika Jain asked him about the progress in talks with Apple about the company's plans for manufacturing handsets in India.

Apple is welcome in India. Any investors coming into India is going to be a gainer and Apple is already having a big footprint, it will be a big gain for them. The negotiations are on, I can only tell you it is a work in progress, he said.
