Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh, who got married in 2022, have recently made headlines due to rumors of a troubled marriage. A video, allegedly shared by Payal, has surfaced online showing the couple engaged in a heated verbal dispute.

In the video, Payal accuses Sangram of mistreating her for her inability to conceive, further criticizing his family. She makes controversial remarks about their traditional roles, stating that their sole purpose is to bear children, cook, and stay in the ghunghat. This altercation has raised eyebrows and drawn significant attention to the couple's relationship, sparking debates on social media regarding the nature of their marriage and the treatment of women in traditional setups.

The couple, known for their public appearances, has been subject to increased scrutiny since the video’s release. Fans and followers have expressed concern for Payal, while others have pointed to the ongoing challenges the couple seems to be facing in their personal life.

Payal Rohtagi, who was recording Sangram’s reaction, also questioned his behaviour. She said, “Tumhare ghar mein aurato ke sath aise baat ki jaati hai. Tum log padhe-likhe nahi ho theek hai, par aise baat ki jaati hai (Is this how women are spoken to in your family? Fine, you’re uneducated, but is this how one talks)?"

When Sangram retaliated telling Payal that she was misbehaving, her remarks escalated further as she started criticising the patriarchal practices prevalent in his family. She remarked, “Gaon mein sab ghunghat wali aurate hi padi hui hai tumhare, unka kaam kya hai ghunghat karna aur bacha paida karna aur khana banana (All the women in your village stay in veils, their only work is to bear children and cook)."

Not only this, Payal Rohtagi went on to warn Sangram Singh not to taunt her with comments like she could not bear a child. The actress added, “Aur mujhe taunt mat maarna ki tu bacha nahi paida kar sakti (Don’t taunt me about not being able to bear a child)."

The video, once shared, has sparked a range of reactions from online users. Given Payal's history of controversies and strong opinions, many speculated that this could be a bid for attention, while others criticized her for her harsh comments about Sangram's family, suggesting that she may be struggling with mental health issues.

Payal Rohatgi and wrestler Sangram Singh were in a relationship for several years before getting married on July 9, 2022, in a private ceremony in Agra, attended by their families and close relatives. They later held two receptions, one in Agra and another in Delhi.
