Renowned Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, who has garnered excitement for his role in Pushpa 2 releasing tomorrow (5 December) after his impressive performance in Pushpa 1, is now set to make his Bollywood debut.
According to reports, Fahadh Faasil will star alongside Animal fame Triptii Dimri in an upcoming film directed by Imtiaz Ali.
While the title is yet to be revealed, the film is scheduled to begin shooting in the first quarter of 2025, raising anticipation for what could be another cinematic gem from the director of hits like Jab We Met and Tamasha.
Fahadh Faasil is set to appear on screen starting tomorrow (December 5) in Pushpa 2: The Rule, alongside Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.
Pushpa 2 has already made history by selling millions of tickets through advance bookings, with fans eagerly securing their spots for the film's opening day.
Fahadh's performance in the iconic Pushpa: The Rise has earned him a cult following.
The Andhra Pradesh government has approved six daily shows for Pushpa 2 across single screens and multiplexes, with ticket prices set at Rs 324.50 and Rs 413, respectively. Additionally, the state will permit five shows at these rates from December 6 to 17.
Meanwhile, the Telangana government faced backlash for increasing ticket prices for Pushpa 2, with rates set at Rs 1,200 for paid previews, Rs 531 for multiplexes, and Rs 354 for single screens. A petition challenging this price hike was scheduled to be heard in the Telangana High Court on December 3, just one day before the film's premiere.
In another remarkable achievement, Pushpa 2: The Rule has made a massive impact with its advance bookings, crossing the Rs 50-crore mark and selling 1 million tickets on BookMyShow. This milestone has surpassed records set by blockbusters like Kalki 2898 AD, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, and K.G.F.: Chapter 2, according to the latest trade reports.
