Gowtam Tinnanuri’s latest action-packed thriller Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, Satyadev, Venkatesh, and Bhagyashri Borse, continues its theatrical run with a steady box office performance.

Released on Thursday, the film opened to a promising response, especially when compared to Vijay Deverakonda’s recent films, and has now garnered ₹29.21 crore net across its first two days in Indian theatres, according to estimates from a trading website.

The film collected ₹17 crore net on its opening day, followed by an estimated ₹11.21 crore on its first Friday. This marks a slight dip in collections but still reflects decent momentum heading into the weekend. On Friday, Kingdom registered an occupancy rate of approximately 36.24% nationwide.

Meanwhile, the production team claims a much higher figure of ₹39 crore gross on opening day, sparking discussions about the film’s true box office standing. With Saturday and Sunday still to come, the film has the opportunity to recover and potentially cross significant benchmarks, depending on audience turnout.

In terms of regional performance, Kingdom maintained a fairly strong presence in Telugu-speaking regions. On Friday, August 1, the film recorded an overall 42.56% Telugu occupancy. Show-wise, morning screenings saw 27.39% attendance, which increased steadily through the day—afternoon shows reached 38.12%, evening shows hit 43.21%, and night shows peaked at 61.50%.

The film is currently sharing box office space with Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which released on July 24. Despite stiff competition, Kingdom appears to be carving out its own space, thanks in part to its compelling narrative and action sequences.

Kingdom follows the journey of Suri (played by Vijay), a police constable-turned-spy on a covert mission to Sri Lanka. In addition to his professional duties, Suri is also searching for his long-lost brother, Siva (played by Satyadev), who vanished during their childhood. The film ends with a setup for Suri’s political evolution, teasing an ambitious sequel.
