 
            
                           Ayushmann Khurrana has officially welcomed Gen Z star Aneet Padda into the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) with her upcoming film Shakti Shalini.
Fresh off the massive success of Thamma, Ayushmann took to Instagram to congratulate Aneet and introduce her next project, marking an exciting new addition to the ever-growing MHCU.
In a heartfelt post, Ayushmann shared the opening credits of Shakti Shalini on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Welcome to the MHCU, @aneetpadda Punjabi aa gaye oye!! From one dreamer to another—keep chasing what you want. Nothing is impossible.. so proud to see someone from Punjab making us all proud.. Can’t wait to see you shine in Shakti Shalini! Onwards and upwards Aneet.”
The makers of Shakti Shalini also released the film’s first teaser in theatres alongside the release of Thamma.
During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, director Amar Kaushik explained, “When we were writing the script, we realised that we needed a younger actor. Meanwhile, we saw her film Saiyaara and realised that she suits the part perfectly for that character. She heard the story and came on board. The shooting will commence in January 2026.”

Aneet Padda rose to fame with Saiyaara, starring alongside Ahaan Panday. The film was a massive hit, breaking several box office records and winning the hearts of audiences with its engaging story and performances.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma continues to perform strongly at the box office, amassing a total of Rs 71.45 crore nett so far. The film’s Diwali release has met audience expectations across all departments, cementing its success and adding to the excitement surrounding the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.
